The Dwelling in the Woods is 100 miles north of the Twin Cities.

Directions from the west side of the Twin Cities:
Take Minnesota Highway 65 to Aitkin County Road 2, about seven miles north of McGrath.
Turn right (east) on County Road 2 and go for six miles.
The Dwelling's driveway is on the left just before a sign marked "Trail Xing."

Directions from the east side of the Twin Cities:
Drive north on Interstate 35 and exit at Willow River (exit 205).
Turn left (west) and go one half-mile to Minnesota Highway 61.
Turn right (north) and go one half-mile to Pine County Road 41.
Turn left (west) on Cty 41 and go 16 miles, including 2 1/2 miles on gravel.
Follow the curve signs.
Pine County Road 41 becomes Aitkin Country Road 2.
The Dwelling is on the right just past a sign marked "Trail Xing."

Directions from Duluth:
Drive south on Interstate 35 and exit at Willow River (exit 205).
Turn right (west) and go one half-mile to Minnesota Highway 61.
Turn right (north) and go one half-mile to Pine County Road 41.
Turn left (west) on 41 for 16 miles, including 2 1/2 miles on gravel.
